What do coaches do with everything their clients leave behind?

Here's something nobody talks about enough:

What happens to coaches after a heavy session?

I put this question directly to Sabrina Del Duca at the T&E Coaches Summit — and the answer she gave is something every coach needs to hear.

Sabrina's top tip for releasing that energy after a session:

"Wash your hands. So that whatever you have absorbed from your client — you are washing it clean."

We carry so much in this work. The emotional weight of sitting with someone in their hardest moments doesn't just disappear when the Zoom call ends.

Sabrina shared exactly what she does to process and release that energy — so it doesn't follow her into the rest of her day or her next client.

This one's for every coach who has ever driven home from a session still carrying the conversation.

If you're an MLC member and haven't applied for the Coach of the Year yet — here's your nudge.

Applications for the 2026 MLC Coach of the Year Awards close 15 June.

If you're an MLC member: it's completely free to apply. This is your community — and it was built to celebrate you.

If you're not a member yet: applications are $149. Still worth it when you consider what winning does for your visibility, credibility, and digital footprint.

Either way — if you're a coach making a genuine difference in your clients' lives, you deserve to be considered.

The coaches who don't apply are usually the ones who assume they don't qualify.

They almost always do.

🔗 Apply at the link in bio. Deadline 15 June.

You don't have to post every day.

I know the algorithm tells you otherwise. But there's a real cost to showing up everywhere, all the time — and Vanessa Kinsley broke it down perfectly at the T&E Coaches Summit.

"You have to put yourself in those rooms to realise what you don't want."

Vanessa joined our live discussion panel for a special bonus episode of How to Get Ahead — and she had some of the most practical, real-talk advice of the whole summit on how to create content without it draining you completely.

Quality content, posted consistently, beats a content hamster wheel every single time.

I want to be specific about what winning the MLC Coach of the Year actually looks like.

Because "recognition" can sound vague — so let me break it down.

Award winners receive:

✅ A custom award plaque
✅ A press release package across MLC media and partner platforms
✅ A speaking slot at the 2027 Coaches Tech & Empowerment Summit — live, global audience
✅ A permanent spot in the MLC Hall of Fame
✅ 1 year of free MLC membership
✅ The option to join the 2027 selection committee

The press release package alone changes what people find when they Google you. That's not a nice-to-have — that's your digital footprint, expanded.

Applications close 15 June. Free for MLC members.
