Directly linking your “members only” page link to the “button”, which is recommended, as opposed to the membership registration link page, is appropriate as long as the members page is protected under the membership rule.

Linking the membership registration page, as shown in the course, works well but you’ll have to enable a custom page within the membership setup form to direct traffic to the exclusive page or create alternative navigation such as visible home page headers or buttons to the members only content.
